AI voice agent alternatives, and what they cost to start

Ten tools in and around this category, the entry price each one publishes, and which of them you can actually buy today without booking a call.

Quick answer

Every tool that talks to visitors and drives your real product is sold by a sales team and starts in the thousands a month. Every tool you can buy today does something simpler: text answers, a clickable replica, or phone calls. Agent247 sits in the gap, with the first hour free.

Who actually competes for this job?

Ten tools come up when a team wants a website visitor greeted, answered or shown around. They split along two lines that matter more than any feature list. The first: does it talk, and can it drive the real product, or does it answer in text about a copy of it? The second: can you buy it today, or does it start with a call? Sort the market that way and the pattern is hard to miss, so the table below prints both.

Every tool in the table has its own page with the detail: Docket, 1mind, Sierra, Intercom Fin, Chatbase, Voiceflow, Retell AI, Storylane, Navattic, and Drift, which no longer exists as a product.

Every number here was read off the vendor own pricing page in September 2026, and the sources are listed at the foot of this page. "Not published" means exactly that: no page, no range, a demo form. Prices move, so check before you buy. Ours are on the pricing page.

Why is the demo half of this market so expensive?

Because it is sold, not bought. An agent that speaks for your company and walks a prospect through your product is a security review, a brand review and a procurement cycle. Vendors who accept that cost price for it: Docket starts at $3,000 a month on an annual contract with no trial, and 1mind, Sierra and Salesloft publish nothing at all. They also give you more for it, which is worth saying plainly. Named support, integrations into a revenue stack, compliance paperwork, an implementation team.

None of them are wrong to charge that. The gap is that a company with 900 visitors a month and no procurement department cannot buy any of it, at any usage level.

When is a cheaper tool the better answer?

Often. Three cases where we are the wrong choice, and a competitor is genuinely the right one:

So where does Agent247 fit?

One quadrant, currently empty apart from us: it talks, it reads and clicks the live page, and you can start it this afternoon without speaking to anyone. Paste one script tag, talk to your own agent, and the first hour costs nothing. The rate and a calculator are on the pricing page, and the install takes a few minutes. What we do not have yet is the enterprise half: no published compliance programme, no CRM orchestration, no implementation team. If those gate your deployment, buy from the top of the table instead, and we would rather tell you that now than after a call.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to get an AI agent on my website?

A free tier from a text chatbot like Chatbase, if a text answer does the job. For a voice agent that shows people around, Agent247 gives you the first hour free and then bills by the minute. See pricing.

Which of these can I buy without talking to a salesperson?

Agent247, Chatbase, Retell AI and Intercom Fin sell self serve. Storylane and Navattic have free tiers with sales above them. 1mind, Sierra, Salesloft and Docket are sales led only.

Why do 1mind and Sierra not publish prices?

Both sell enterprise contracts negotiated per customer. We have not seen a price page from either, and the third party numbers floating around are estimates, so this page says "not published" rather than repeating them.

What is the difference between a clickable demo and a live one?

Storylane and Navattic capture a copy of your product that a prospect clicks through. Agent247 drives the real thing, reading the page every turn, which is covered in live demos on the real page.

Is Drift still on this list?

Only as history. Drift was folded into Salesloft, its site redirects there, and Salesloft says the chat now runs on 1mind. Agent247 vs Drift explains what changed.
