What happened to Drift?
Drift was acquired by Salesloft and folded into its platform. Today drift.com redirects to Salesloft's chat agents page, and that page states plainly that the chat has transitioned from Drift to 1mind. So if you are comparing tools with Drift on the shortlist, the product you read about is no longer the product you would buy. What you would buy is Salesloft: a revenue platform where website chat feeds buyer signals into a seller's workflow, with CRM, dialler and calendar integrations around it.
Where does Salesloft genuinely win?
If you already run on Salesloft, or you want website conversations to land directly in a rep's prioritised queue with attribution reporting behind it, nothing we build competes. That is an enterprise revenue stack, sold by a sales team, and the integrations are years ahead of ours. 1mind, which powers the chat now, also does live product demos and voice, so the honest difference is not "they only do text". It is the buying motion and the scope.
Where does Agent247 do something different?
Agent247 is one script tag, self serve, priced in public, and pointed at a single website. You sign up, paste the tag, talk to your own agent, and the first hour costs nothing. There is no implementation project and no seat licence. It reads your live page every turn and clicks real elements to show a visitor around, which is the same instinct 1mind has, packaged for a company that wants it running this week rather than next quarter.
How do they compare side by side?
| Criteria | Salesloft chat, formerly Drift | Agent247 |
|---|---|---|
| Status of Drift | Retired, drift.com redirects to Salesloft | Not applicable |
| Core job | Capture intent, route it into seller workflow | Greet, demo and guide the visitor itself |
| Sales stack integration | Deep: CRM, dialler, calendar, forecasting | Not built out |
| How you buy it | Talk to a sales team | Sign up and install it yourself |
| Published price | Not published | On the pricing page, first hour free |
If routing is what you actually need, our lead qualification page is honest about how far we go: we qualify and book, we do not orchestrate a sales team.
So which one should you pick?
Running a sales org on Salesloft already, or needing conversations wired into rep prioritisation? Take the platform. Want a voice agent live on your site today, shown to every visitor, billed by the minute? That is us, and the pricing is public so you can compare without a call. A small team shopping for Drift in 2026 is usually looking for the second thing and does not know the first is now an enterprise purchase. If the category itself is new, start with voice agent vs live chat.
